Employee Voting Information

Information about voting leave for eligible employees.

Eligibility

Voting Leave will be granted to employees who are:

• eligible voters, and
• whose work day begins less than two (2) hours after the polls open, and
• whose work day ends less than three (3) hours before the polls close.

Leave Benefit

This leave will be granted for a maximum of two (2) hours with pay in order to vote in an election recognized under the law. Employees utilizing this benefit must vote in the election for which they are granted leave.

For Supervisors

Supervisors will schedule voting leave to ensure department work is covered.
