Educational Assistant Orientation
Note: This is for candidates that have received an official job offer.
Step 1 – Watch the Video
Congratulations! Welcome to the Albuquerque Public Schools! Now that you have received your official job offer you will need to begin the process of applying for your Educational Assistant License. Click the link above to begin the Orientation Video.
Step 2 – Sign the Orientation Form
Let us know you completed the orientation materials by signing the form on the bottom of the Orientation video page. You will need to navigate back to this page after you have completed this step.
Step 3 – Apply for License
Which pathway are you applying for your license:
Para Educator Exam
If you are applying for Licensure via the Para Educator exam and have passed, you are now ready to apply for a license.
Here is what you will need:
- Complete Initial Online Application
- Pay $50 application fee online
- Upload Para Educator Exam scores and Superintendent's Verification Form (documents are provided through your WinOcular workspace under Manage Documents)
- Complete Background/Fingerprinting for licensure
College/University Credits
If you are applying for Licensure via College or University credits then you are now ready to apply for a license.
Here is what you will need:
- Complete Initial Online Application
- Pay $50 application fee online
- Upload Superintendent's Verification form (document is provided through your WinOcular workspace under Manage Documents)
- Submit Official Sealed Transcripts (send electronically to: LicensureUnit@ped.nm.gov)
- Complete Background/Fingerprinting for licensure
