APS Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Services for ComPsych Guidance Resources begin on July 1, 2025. This is a free, confidential short-term counseling program open to all APS employees and immediate family members.

We are pleased to announce ComPsych GuidanceResources® as the new provider of the APS Employee Assistance Program (EAP). ComPsych provides free, confidential, in-person and virtual counseling services, expert guidance, and other valuable resources to help you and your family members handle life’s challenges, big or small. Assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To access ComPsych GuidanceResource® services:
  • Call the toll-free number at (800) 497-9088You'll be connected with a highly trained professional who can guide you to the appropriate services.
  • Register with GuidanceResources® online at www.guidanceresources.com and enter the APS company WebID: APSEAP
  • Download the GuidanceNow™ app for fast and easy access to all your ComPsych resources. Use the same APS WebID: APSEAP

List of eap servicesConfidential Emotional & Mental Health Support

The new APS EAP offers short-term counseling services (up to 8 sessions) to support you and your dependents in addressing your concerns. You can schedule an in-person or virtual appointment with local providers about topics such as marital, relationship, and family problems; stress, anxiety, and depression; grief and loss, job pressures, and substance misuse disorders.

Work and Lifestyle Support 

Work-life experts can do the research for you and provide qualified referrals and customized resources for topics such as child and elder care, moving, pet care, college planning, home repair, buying a car, planning an event, selling a house, and more.

Legal Guidance

With your GuidanceResources® program, you have an attorney “on call” whenever you have questions. They can help with legal concerns such as divorce, custody, adoption, real estate, debt and bankruptcy, landlord or tenant issues, civil and criminal actions and more. If you require representation, you can be referred to a qualified attorney for a free 30-minute consultation and a 25 percent reduction in customary legal fees.

Financial Information

Everyone has financial questions. Get answers about budgeting, debt management, tax issues, and other money concerns from on-staff accounts, financial planners, and other experts, simply by calling the toll-free number below.

Digital Support

Visit GuidanceResources® online to access counseling, work and lifestyle support, and other services, including child care and legal services search tools. Tap into an array of articles, podcasts, videos, and slideshows on thousands of topics or improve your skills with On-Demand training, self-assessments, and more.

Picture of the KOA Care360 application through ComPsych EAP services.Under "Digital Selfcare Tools," you'll be connected with KOA Care360 and have access to a range of services after enrolling and downloading the KOA app, which provides access to preventative care, online therapy, interactive self-treatment tools, and clinical care with a therapist.
