Susanna is our newest  educator with the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. She is a New Mexico native who lives with her family and pets in the East Mountains. She received her Master’s Degree in Recreation with an emphasis in Environmental Education from UNM.

Susanna taught for Albuquerque Public Schools for 17 years.  She enjoys teaching about ecology and helping students understand a sense of place through art, writing, and investigating the natural world.  Susanna is grateful APS has such a special place to teach and hike with students, and also enjoys working with the museum crew to provide outreach programs around the State of New Mexico.
