LGBTQ+ History Month
LGBT History Month highlights and celebrates the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender history and achievements of various civil rights movements.
October was selected in part to coincide with Coming Out Day which occurs on October 11th. LGBT History Month provides role models and highlights the contributions of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender people in American history.
