Indigenous Peoples Day

Indigenous Peoples Day is a federal holiday in the United States and observed on the second Monday of October. The day was changed from Columbus Day.

Indigenous Peoples Day is a day of reflection on the role Native people played in the United States along with a recognition of the perseverance of culture and ways and brings attention to the historical violence and devastation Native peoples faced.
