  • The Principals and Assistant Principals at  PED "TOPS" Schools are paid on a 216-day Middle School Contract for 24-25.
  •  Principals that serve on the PAR Panel receive a $3,000 per year
  • Principals who teach a class receive $2,500 per semester
  • This stipend is paid from the school's FTE budget. Principals that cover two school sites receive $2,500 per semesterThis stipend is paid from the school's FTE budget. A timesheet, that includes the Supervisor’s signature, is sent to Labor Relations.
  • Five Discretionary Days are included in the Principal and Assistant Principal yearly calendar.  Principals and Assistant Principals must get prior approval from their Associate Superintendent/Supervisor to use these days.
  • Principals and Assistant Principals have one day of sick leave converted to one day of personal leave unless they have reached the personal day cap of 5 days.

About the SPE Salary Schedules

Alternative High School Principals and Assistant Principals will be paid at the same daily rate as the Traditional High School Principal and Assistant Principals on a 216-day contract.

Experience will be awarded as follows:

  • 1 for 1 for Principal experience; (position must have required an Administrators license)
  • 1 for 1 for  credit Superintendent experience; (position must have required an Administrators license)
  • 1 for 1 for Assistant Principal experience beginning with 13-14
  • All credit will be for complete years – no credit will be given for partial years;
  • 2 for 1 credit for District Administrator experience ie Director (position must have required an Administrators license)
  • District credit will be rounded down ex. 3 years = 1 year of experience.

Placement on Salary Band 2, 3 and 4 starts at the beginning of the 5th and 10th year  and 15th year
