Albuquerque High School
Albuquerque High provides great opportunities that will seamlessly move your student into the 21st-century. Albuquerque High school offers AP level classes in English, mathematics, Spanish, French, US history, psychology, economics, government, world history, and studio art, among others.
With a heritage of diversity and community support, Albuquerque High School is proud to lead the way in Bilingual Multicultural Education Programs. The AHS Bilingual Program has been nationally recognized and is one of the leaders in Albuquerque Public Schools in the number of students who graduate by completing the rigorous pathway of the Bilingual Seal.

College and Career High School
How would you like for your student to graduate from high school with an Associate’s Degree or Certificate? Most courses your student will take at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) will transfer to all New Mexico higher educational institutions. If a CCHS student earns an Associate’s Degree, up to two years of college can be completed. That could be a huge cost savings to your family. With a 90+% graduation rate, CCHS is consistently rated among the best high schools in the state.

New Futures High School
New Futures School is an APS school for pregnant and parenting students. We offer an environment that promotes rigorous learning as well as provides essential services to support and foster good parenting practices. nex+Gen Academy Magnet
Our expectations exceed those of many other schools and you will see that reflected in the four-year course of study outlined here. While graduation requirements remain the same as those for all other APS students, nex+Gen Academy students are encouraged to strive for our “Graduation with Distinction” designation. As a result, the majority of our students are expected to take four years of Science, two years of a foreign language, at least two dual-credit classes and complete both a mentorship experience and a culminating Senior Project. These increased expectations come with increased supports and we pride ourselves on the strong relationships between our students and staff.

Rio Grande High School
At Rio Grande, we are proud to be an Environmental Sustainability Magnet School, with a strong emphasis on inquiry-based learning. Sandia High School
Our vision of “Scholarship, Honor, Service” drives all that we do at Sandia.
We offer a number of Advanced Placement (AP) courses. These offerings are rigorous freshman college-level courses that can qualify students for college credit. We are the only comprehensive high school in New Mexico to host the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) program. For our older students, there are a number of Dual-Credit options. Local colleges and universities (UNM and CNM) have paired with APS to offer college courses for our students. Students who pass these classes receive college credit as well as elective credit for high school. In addition, many of our students take advantage of the Career Enrichment Center (CEC) for career related courses as well.
We are also extremely proud of all of our onsite elective offerings. Sandia is home to several award winning Fine Arts programs that highlight our students’ talents in both visual and performing arts. We also have strong Career Connected Learning (formerly CTE) programs which offer programs of study that align with the NM Economic Priority Sectors and prepare students in chosen career pathways.

Valley High School
Over the years, many changes in education have come about and there are many means to help students become even more successful. As these changes occur, Valley High School continues to grow and improve academically to meet the needs of all our students. Valley High School has a Magnet School within our comprehensive high school “Engineering the Future.” If your student enjoys using their creative mind, they can take advantage of our STEM Magnet Program.
Valley High offers a wide range of academic courses to complement the core courses necessary for graduation. Students have many options of taking advanced and rigorous courses at Valley High School. They also have the opportunity for dual enrollment with CNM and UNM as well as courses at the College Enrichment Center. Online education options are available for students who need to recover a credit or need to satisfy a graduation requirement.

West Mesa High School
At West Mesa, we are committed to providing comprehensive choices of courses to foster to the diverse needs and aspirations of our students. We encourage you to explore our varied academic offerings, which include challenging courses through our Career Technical Education programs, AVID program, and Advanced Placement, and Honors tracks.
For those seeking additional support or credit recovery, we offer intervention and online courses. Additionally, our Dual Enrollment classes, available both on campus and at CNM and UNM, present an outstanding chance for students to earn up to ten college credits at no cost, with textbooks provided by APS.
