APS Preschool Enrollment
Learn about APS Preschool enrollment requirements and how to enroll in an APS Preschool program online with ParentVUE.
Pre-K Registration
Registration for the 2024-2025 school year will open March 22, 2024. Visit ParentVUE/StudentVUE for helpful registration information.
Enrollment Requirements
- The student must be 4 years old by August 31, 2024.
- For our mixed 3 year old classroom your child must be 3 by March 2024.
- No transfer is needed for Pre-K students.
- The student must live within the attendance zone of the District of Albuquerque Public Schools.
Remember that registration is not a guarantee because demand is higher than availability.

New to APS
- You will need to create a ParentVUE account to register your student. Review the ParentVUE Registration Instructions.
- Select registration for the "2024-2025 Preschool Packet" school year.
- If you choose the wrong year you will need to do registration over.
- Complete all tabs of the registration.
Returning to APS
- You can log into ParentVUE to enroll your student and add them to your ParentVUE account.
- Select registration for the 2024-2025 Preschool Packet school year.
- If you choose the wrong year you will need to do registration over.
- Review all of your student's information in each tab, and double-check that your contact information and emergency contacts are up to date.
If Your Home School Doesn't Have Preschool
If your home school does not have an APS Preschool, allow the system to default to your home school.
Please select your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice and let us know your preferred school. (School Choices will determine where you child will be placed).
We will be placing students in classrooms starting April 8th. You will receive a phone call to inform you with a spot by the school clerk or Early childhood office.
You will have up to 5 business days to accept and bring in documents to the school.
Once you have enrolled, you can log back into ParentVUE and see that you are waiting to be assigned.
