APS Preschool Enrollment

Learn about APS Preschool enrollment requirements and how to enroll in an APS Preschool program online with ParentVUE.

Pre-K/Preschool Registration

  • Registration is open for the 2026-2027 school year.

Enrollment Requirements

  • Students must be 4 years old by Aug. 31 of the school year your child is entering into.
  • Students must be 3 years old by Aug. 31 of the school year your child is entering into for our mixed 3s and 4s classrooms.
  • No transfer is needed for Pre-K students. (you'll need a transfer for kindergarten if your child is not attending their home school).
  • Parent must complete the "Pre-School Student Packet 2026-2027" on ParentVUE. If you complete the incorrect school year, you will need to redo the registration with the correct school year. (Keep in mind this might put your child lower on the school class list if the correct year is not selected)
  • In the Pre-School Student packet in ParentVUE parents/guardians will be required to choose up to 3 different schools. (Early childhood will try our best to accommodate to your choices)
  • We highly encourage that your child is school ready as our program runs along with APS schools and is not a daycare/childcare setting. 
  • Parent/Guardians must provide schools all required documents. Parents will have 30days to bring in documentation if it is not already uploaded into the Registration packet.
    • Three proofs of address
    • Birth Certificate
    • Emergency contacts & Phone numbers
    • Immunization Records
    • Custodial documents (if applicable)
  • When students are accepted and enrolled it is required that the teacher does a home visit with their student. 

Remember that registration is not a guarantee because demand is higher than availability.

New to APS

  1. You will need to create a ParentVUE account to register your student. Review the ParentVUE Registration Instructions.
  2. Select registration for the "Pre-School Student Packet 2026-2027"
  3. If you choose the wrong year you will need to do registration over.
  4. Complete all tabs of the registration the last part is to upload documents or choose to hand deliver documents.

Returning to APS

  1. You can log into ParentVUE to enroll your student and add them to your ParentVUE account.
  2. Select the correct year of online registration.
  3. If you choose the wrong year you will need to do registration over.
  4. Review all of your student's information in each tab, and double-check that your contact information and emergency contacts are up to date.

If Your Home School Doesn't Have Preschool

If your home school does not have an APS Preschool, allow the system to default to your home school.

Please select your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice and let us know your preferred school. (School Choices will determine where you child will be placed).

Parents/Guardians will receive a phone call or an email informing you with a spot by the school clerk that your child was placed at. Parents/Guardians will be notified late April 2026 or Early May 2026 of what school their child was place at. 

You will have up to 5 business days to accept and bring in documents to the school.  

Once you have enrolled and completed the online registration, you can log back into ParentVUE and see that you are waiting to be assigned. This means that your child's registration has been submitted please double check the school year to make sure the current year is visible if not please do the correct school year.
