The COVID guidelines below were for the 2020-2021 school year. New guidelines for the 2021-2022 school year are being determined by APS and will be posted as soon they are available.

Free Breakfast & Lunch Served at All APS Schools

APS will continue to provide free grab-and-go meals for students learning at home.

Plan for School Meals

  • Wednesday, March 31, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Families can pick up 5 days of meals at any APS elementary school and Manzano, Rio Grande, and West Mesa High Schools. There is no school on Friday, April 2 (Vernal Holiday).
  • Beginning Monday, April 5: All schools will serve free breakfast and lunch for students on campus.  
  • Beginning Wednesday, April 7: Families of remote learners can pick up weekly meal packs on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at two locations: 
    1. APS Food and Nutrition headquarters, 800 Louisiana NE (enter north off of Louisiana)
    2. West Mesa Aquatic Center, 6705 Fortuna Road NW

Meals During In-Person Learning

Breakfast and lunch will be free for all students. Cafeteria seating will be spread out, and students will be encouraged to eat outside when possible. Lunch schedules may be staggered to avoid large groups.
