Cell Phone Safety
We encourage parents to talk to their students about the appropriate use of cell phones, specifically in regards to their own safety.
We've compiled some tips here that are designed to help minimize the risk for students who own cell phones.
- Never leave your full name on your answering machine
- Have 911 programmed on your phone
- Report any threatening text messages you receive to a parent, guardian, or local law enforcement
Cell Phone Policy
APS has a Cell Phone Policy that was approved in May 2010. The policy states that student is permitted to use personal electronic devices while on campus and at school activities provided they do not disrupt the school day and are not used in an unauthorized fashion.
