The Capital Master Plan office is tasked with continuously monitoring facility utilization and capacity through our central online data input and analysis center.

When a school or APS District requests to change how a school or district facility is utilized (a school's ability to provide its core educational services when programs are added, altered, or made mandatory), they can submit a request for analysis, which will allow the District to review and determine the impacts that will occur with the program expansion. This may include:  classroom space decrease affecting School Capacity, Student Transfers-In, Increased school transportation demand, School Security reconfiguration requirements, and Facility upgrade requirements. Requests to add space for growth, transfers, or considerations for adding new programs such as STEM/STEAM labs must go through this process.
