Biography

Daniel Manzano brings more than 20 years of experience in public policy, administration, and advocacy across state and local government, as well as the nonprofit sector. A lifelong public servant, Daniel has dedicated his career to improving systems that serve New Mexicans.

Before joining Albuquerque Public Schools, Daniel served as Deputy Director of Public Affairs for Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller. His extensive government experience includes serving as Chief of Staff at the state Public Education Department, Senior Leadership Analyst for the New Mexico State Senate, and Director of Constituent Services for former Lt. Gov. Diane Denish. His work has centered on building strong relationships, advancing policy initiatives and supporting collaborative governance.

Daniel earned his undergraduate degree in Interpersonal Communication from the University of New Mexico and pursued graduate studies in Clinical Counseling at Colorado Christian University. He lives in Albuquerque’s South Valley with his wife, Alicia, and their daughter, Aliana.
