APS ELEMENTARY ELA CCSS RUBRIC HANDBOOK

APS K–5 ELA SBPR Rubric Handbook provides district-developed, standards-aligned guidance to support consistent and equitable Standards-Based Progress Reporting (SBPR) across all APS elementary schools. The handbook includes task-neutral performance rubrics aligned to Common Core State Standards, examples of standards-aligned assessment tasks, evidence of learning, and implementation guidance to help educators accurately assess student mastery using the APS 1–4 performance scale. Developed collaboratively by APS Elementary Teaching & Learning, classroom teachers, and the Albuquerque Teachers Federation (ATF), the handbook promotes instructional consistency while supporting high-quality, standards-based teaching and learning.
