Teladoc/Livongo - For all employees and dependents covered under APS Benefits

Teladoc/Livongo is an integrated program for diabetes, high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, and weight loss. Beginning January 1, 2026, there were two updates to the APS Teladoc/Livongo program.
Updated App Experience
- Employees currently on the Livongo program for diabetes, pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, or weight loss: starting January 1, 2026, your Livongo by Teladoc app will have a new look! You don't need to take any action; the process will be seamless during your next Teladoc/Livongo interaction after January 1, 2026. Read the brief informational flyer about the new Teladoc/Livongo "OneApp" and FAQ.
Employees on a GLP-1 for Weight Loss
Starting January 1, 2026, prescription drug benefits coverage requirements for those on a GLP-1 for weight loss will change. (This is not applicable for those on GLP-1 for diabetes.)
If you are an existing GLP-1 for weight loss medication user:
- Enroll in the Teladoc/Livongo Weight Management program on or after January 1, 2026.
- Depending on your responses to the enrollment questions, you may be placed in the Pre-Diabetes Prevention Program OR the Weight Management program. For GLP-1 medication management and to meet the program's requirements for prescription refills and renewals, both programs operate the same way.
- To maintain your prescription, or receive a new one, you must be enrolled in the Teladoc/Livongo Weight Management program. Please read the Weight Management for GLP-1 users FAQ for this new program.
- Once your GLP-1 for weight loss prescription comes up for prior authorization renewal, your physician will have to submit your original clinical data when the medication was initially prescribed.
Phone: 1-800-835-2362
If you are a new patient recently prescribed a GLP-1 for weight loss:
- Once you have enrolled in the weight management lifestyle program, a clinical prior authorization from your prescribing physician must be completed for the GLP-1 prescription to be processed and dispensed for weight loss.
- Physicians can access this through the EviCore by Evernorth portal at www.evicore.com or by calling Express Scripts at 800-417-1764. In most instances, the pharmacy will help facilitate the prior authorization process with the prescribing physician.
GLP-1 medications for weight loss will not be available to eligible APS members unless they remain enrolled in and participating in the lifestyle modification program and meet its requirements. You must continue to meet these requirements for GLP-1 dispensing and ongoing medication management for weight loss.
- View this explainer on the new requirements for receiving GLP-1 medications for weight loss and the Teladoc Livongo weight management program.
- On or after January 1, 2026, enroll in Teladoc Livongo under weight management by visiting the Livongo/APS website or at www.teladochealth.com/progrm.
Note: This is not a requirement for diabetics on a GLP-1 for A1c control.
This program is open to all eligible employees and dependents covered under APS Benefits.
