Mental and behavioral health coverage information. Resources for all employees. Digital/virtual stress and mental health programs under APS insurance plans.

No Cost For In-Network Mental/Behavioral Health Benefits

Effective January 1, 2022, there is no cost-sharing (i.e., no copays or deductibles) for in-network mental and behavioral health services for employees covered under APS Benefits. 

NEW! APS Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Starting July 1, 2025, APS offers a new Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through ComPsych GuidanceResources®. These services are free and available to all APS employees and their family members, offering 24/7 access to confidential in-person or virtual counseling, interactive digital tools, wellness support, work and lifestyle support, legal guidance, financial resources, and on-demand online training on a wide range of topics. Learn more about your expanded resources from ComPsych.

To access GuidanceResources® services: 

  • Call the toll-free number (800) 497-9088. You'll be connected with a highly trained professional who can guide you to the appropriate services.
  • Register with GuidanceResources® online at www.guidanceresources.com and enter the APS company WebID: APSEAP
  • Choose the role group that most closely aligns with your position at APS. For family members, choose the APS employee role group. Your designation (ie, spouse, child) will be captured later.
  • Download the GuidanceNow™ app for fast and easy access to all your ComPsych resources. Use the same APS WebID: APSEAP. 

Virtual and Email-Based Wellness Opportunities 

Life on Mindfulness: 

This free, flexible program for all employees offers daily drop-in meditations, new weekly and monthly content, and featured meditations. Use the link below to enroll in the Life on Mindfulness program for all content and email reminders. Everything is recorded for on-demand access. Links for daily drop-ins are available in the Employee Wellness Google Calendar. This site is mobile-optimized so you can access a wide variety of recorded meditations anytime, anywhere. *The Life on Mindfulness program is open to all APS employees. 

The mindful center has a new page and a new daily schedule.

Presbyterian Health Plan

Presbyterian Health Plan members and covered dependents can find Presbyterian wellness tools and resources, including digital ID cards, on the myPRES patient portal.

  • 24/7 PresRN nurse advice line and video visits: Offers mental/behavioral health services
  • TalkSpace: Virtual mental and behavioral health program. Professional, personal, and confidential online therapy.
  • Community Health Worker (CHW) Program: A unique program offering individual and family assistance for housing, food, utility, transportation, and navigating healthcare situations like pregnancy, asthma, diabetes, behavioral health, and more. This service is confidential and provided at no additional cost to you. Blue Cross Blue Shield

BCBS-NM members and covered dependents can visit the BCBS-NM Member Site to access all member tools and resources, including digital ID cards. Most benefits below can be accessed through a single sign-on to your Blue Access for Members account, then choosing the "Wellness" tab.

  • Learn to Live digital mental health program for members and dependents aged 13 years and over. Personal coaching through phone, text, or email. Access the benefit through Blue Access for members/wellness/digital mental health. 
  • New! Headway- Mental Health support through a nationwide in-network group of therapists, counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists that includes local, virtual, and in-person care. Go through the BCBS Mental Health Hub to learn more and schedule services. 
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield: MDLIVE Virtual Telehealthcare: Offers mental and behavioral healthcare services.
  • 24/7 Nurse Line: 800-973-6329 to speak to a nurse about your symptoms and/or access a wide range of audio health topics (PDF).
  • Well on Target program includes health assessment, member dashboard, digital self-management programs, trackers and tools, interactive symptom checker, secured messaging, Blue 365 PointsSM rewards, tracking for fitness and nutrition and also device integration, personal wellness challenges, mobile app (AlwaysOn)

 

Mental Health Community Resources

These organizations have immediate mental health/crisis hotlines and counseling services for APS employees and family members to access. 

New Mexico Crisis Line

If you or a loved one is experiencing any kind of emotional crisis, mental health, or substance use concern, you can find help 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line or Peer to Peer Warmline.

FindHelp.org - Online Social Services Search Tool

Search and connect to a wide range of support services including medical/healthcare, food pantries, access to financial assistance, housing, transportation, and other free or reduced-cost help starts at findhelp.org. Rehab.com - Online Substance Use Provider Tool 

Rehab.com connects people struggling with substance use disorders with providers as well as inpatient/outpatient facilities. They have a National Provider Network comprising over 5,000 providers.

NAMI of Albuquerque

NAMI of Albuquerque is an organization of families, friends and individuals whose lives have been affected by mental illness. They advocate for better lives for those individuals who have mental illnesses.
