Directions

From Albuquerque, travel East on I-40.
Take Exit 175 for Cedar Crest/Tijeras.
Stay Left and follow signs toward Cedar Crest onto NM-14 North.
Drive 3 miles North on NM-14.
Turn Left onto Columbine Lane.

Columbine Ln. is a small gravel road that can be hard to spot. It is just after a small shopping center with a tattoo shop. If you reach Talking Talons Thrift Store and Triangle Grocery, you have gone a little too far.

Follow Columbine Ln. as it curves for approximately 1/2 mile. Arrow road signs point the way. Be sure to drive slowly and watch carefully around the curves.

Columbine Lane ends at the SMNHC.

Circle to the left for parking. If following a bus, please allow them to park first before proceeding. Drive slowly.

Note: Columbine is in good condition and drivable by regular cars for most of the year. It can get muddy, snowy, or icy at times, which may make it impassable.

Important Information About the Center

Entering and parking on our APS grounds is not permitted unless there for a Public Day, scheduled program or other business arranged with staff. Trespassing will alert APS security and may cause your vehicle to be locked in or towed. The road outside our gate is owned by Bernalillo County Water Authority, who also do not permit parking and may tow vehicles.
