Description
This course was developed to prepare High School Indigenous students (10-12) to be the next generation of knowledge keepers of Indigenous culture and knowledge. Students will engage in in-person classes and community engagement events. The purpose of the Community Engagement Events is to create opportunities for K-12 Indigenous youth and families to engage in activities that utilize Indigenous core values encouraging self identity and being in balance. IN doing so our high school internship create opportunities for academic success and preparing students for the future. During the course our Indigenous students and families. Students will gain experience with engagement in Indigenously-informed relations work within Albuquerque Public Schools Indian Education Department.
