Committee Information
Indian Parent Committee (IPC)
The Indian Parent Committee meets monthly throughout the school year to insure that planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the operational and supplemental programs for Native American students in the Albuquerque Public School occur in a consistent and sustained manner. The Indian Parent Committee also works to comply with the rules and regulations governing Title VI and Title VIII funding.
Indian Education Committee (IEC)
The Indian Education Committee meets quarterly to develop educational programs designed to meet the specialized and unique educational needs of Indian children, and approves all programs and budgets funded by the Johnson-O'Malley Program (JOM). The committee consists of elected parents and guardians of Indian students who are enrolled in schools that are receiving funding under the JOM program.
