About the Position
Only active, internal employees can apply for the Class I (General Helper) position. The Class I position has the same job duties as the "Cafeteria Substitute" position, except this is a permanent, part-time position, guaranteeing minimum 3.0 hours per day (however, hours may vary from 3.0 to 5.0), and requires the ability to cashier.
Current starting hourly rate is $12.00 and after successful completion of a six (6) month working probationary period (the non working months are June and July), the hourly rate will increase to $13.33.
As a permanent position, employees are eligible to receive eight (8) paid holidays and accrue sick leave and personal leave and participate in the APS retirement fund. Since this position is considered part-time employees are not eligible for insurance (medical, dental, etc.) benefits.
