JL5 Competitive Food Sales - July 2024 Revision

The following board policies have been archived. Most have been replaced by the corresponding administrative procedural directive.
Albuquerque Public Schools may permit the sale of food items in accordance with administrative procedural directive. All food and beverage items offered by the cafeteria shall comply with standards required by the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. All foods sold in schools, both during and outside the school day, shall comply with federal and state statutes and regulations.
Non-food and nutrition service competitive food sales shall not be permitted within the environs of the cafeteria as per federal requirements. All competitive food sales shall follow federal and state statutes and regulations and the United States Department of Agriculture smart snack in schools standards.
