2026 APS Esports 4th Annual Scholarship Event
APS Esports celebrated the 4th annual Rubicon Scholarship Event on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Held at City Center, matriculating seniors from APS Esports High Schools were honored with $500 scholarships to take with them to New Mexico colleges and universities. This year’s event saw 13 seniors headed to college in New Mexico.

Hosted by Dr. Richard Bowman, CTO and founder of APS Esports, and Laurie Lehman, Esports District Manager, students were awarded scholarships and honored for their commitment to higher education in New Mexico. With declared majors in Engineering, Psychology, Computer Science, Aviation, Cybersecurity, Fire Science, English Rhetoric, Accounting and Teaching, the students shared their goals and experiences in esports at APS.
We asked each student to share how gaming and esports inspired them to do their best in school and shaped who they are. APS Esports is proud of each student and wishes them success in their college journeys and throughout their lives.
