Technology Tips for Students, Families

Posted September 8, 2020, 12:10 PM. Updated October 8, 2021, 8:42 AM.

The COVID guidelines below were for the 2020-2021 school year.

Our EdTech Team has put together resources to help students and their families navigate through remote learning.

Student & Parent Tech Support

Parents can visit the APS Educational Technology website to access parent and student tech support resources. This includes guides, how-to videos, and much more.
Need help? Students and family members can now submit help tickets at the new Service Desk webpage. (Employees can also use this form as well).

Website Filtering: Keeping Our Students Safe on the Web

Albuquerque Public Schools wants students to use the most up-to-date technology and learning tools. Just as our schools are required to have a plan for student safety, we must keep our students safe on the Internet.

GoGuardian Parent App

GoGuardian Parent is a mobile app to help keep families aware of their child's activity on school-issued devices and provide additional controls during out-of-school hours. GoGuardian Parent is a companion to the internet filtering tools that APS uses for Chromebooks (this app doesn't work with iPads). Through the use of this app, we hope to encourage conversations between parents and children that will result in safer practices and responsible browsing habits.

To access the app, please visit our Getting Started with Go Guardian Parent document

Family Youtube Live Stream

The APS EdTech department will host a live stream for parents on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. We will provide a brief overview of Chromebooks, iPads, Classroom, Gmail, Seesaw and resources on the EdTech site.
