PI44 Teacher and Staff Qualifications and Training

Teachers, Related Service Staff, Educational Assistants and others providing special education and related services shall meet New Mexico Public Education Department requirements for licensure. If a student’s educational needs require additional training or consultation, the IEP team, through the sponsor teacher, will coordinate with the appropriate staff and/or departments. The APS Special Education Department will provide technical assistance and guidance to IEP teams to assist in identifying and providing such training and consultation.
