Albuquerque Public Schools affirms its commitment to the rights of students, parents and employees, as set forth in federal and state statutes, for non-discriminatory treatment in relation to age (40+), color, ethnicity, gender identity, genetic information, HIV status, mental or physical disability, national origin, natural or protective hairstyles or cultural or religious headdresses, pregnancy/lactation/childbirth or related condition, religion, race, sex, sexual orientation, spousal affiliation, serious medical condition, or veteran status and/or any other protected status as defined by law. This policy shall be implemented by the superintendent or their designee and provide grievance procedures.
