With the adoption of the Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education Governance Manual on Nov. 1, 2023, the Board of Education Governance Policies have been archived.

The Board of Education shall hold its annual organizational meeting during the first regular Board of Education meeting in January.
The Board of Education shall elect the offices of the Board of Education including president, vice-president and secretary. The Board of Education also shall elect Board of Education committee chairs.
