Students ages 6 months and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. Please screen for symptoms before heading to school each day.

Vaccine Updates

APS Test to Stay Program Update

Students exposed to COVID-19 are no longer required to quarantine or participate in the APS Test to Stay Program if they are not up to date with a COVID-19 vaccination and are symptom-free.  Therefore, the APS Test to Stay Program for students will no longer be offered. 

Employees exposed COVID-19 are no longer required to participate in the APS Test to Stay Program if they are not up to date with a COVID-19 vaccination and are symptom-free.  Therefore, the APS Test to Stay Program for employees will no longer be offered.

Students, if symptom-free, who were in close contact with someone who tested positive can go to school and participate in school-related activities regardless of vaccination status. 

Employees, if symptom-free, who were in close contact with someone who tested positive can go to work regardless of vaccination status.

Symptom Checker

Isolate if you have one of the following symptoms:

  • cough
  • shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
  • olfactory disorder (loss of smell) taste disorder (loss of taste) confusion or
  • change in mental status
  • persistent chest pain/pressure pale, gray, or blue-colored skin/lips/nail beds
  • inability to stay awake

Isolate if you have two or more of the following symptoms:

  • fever
  • chills
  • rigors
  • myalgia
  • headache
  • sore throat
  • nausea/vomiting
  • diarrhea
  • fatigue
  • congestion/runny nose

Please Remember: 

  • Remain socially distanced to the greatest extent possible.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water frequently.
  • If you are a student and feel sick, stay home or if at school, ask to see the school nurse or administrator.
  • If you are an employee and feel sick, stay home or if at work, notify your supervisor. 
  • If you are symptomatic, you must isolate and are encouraged to test. You may return to school before the full 5 days of isolation with proof of a negative PCR test or 2 negative at-home rapid antigen test results taken 24-48 hours apart accompanied with an assurance form.
