Farm-to-Family Meal Boxes

At APS Food & Nutrition Services on Fridays and varying schools in the coming weeks

Albuquerque Public Schools is partnering with Roadrunner Food Bank to provide farm-to-family meal boxes over the next few weeks. Each box is a mix of about 30 pounds of fresh food items that require refrigeration. They include sour cream, sliced cheese, yogurt, chicken chilli,  chicken taco meat, potatoes, apples, onions, and carrots.

The meal boxes will be available on Fridays at the APS Food & Nutrition facility, 800 Louisiana Blvd. NE, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or until the boxes are gone.

They also will be available at rotating school sites. This week, they will be available on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Los Padillas, McArthur and S.R. Marmon elementary schools from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or while supplies last during the grab and go meal distribution.
