When the Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education voted to continue remote learning for most students through the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year, we archived information on the APS Reentry Plan. While the information is still available, it is no longer up-to-date. as of Feb. 25, 2021. The latest information can be found COVID-19 Updates for APS.

Serving Times, Locations for Grab & Go Meals

We've added several locations and adjusted some times.

  • APS is providing grab and go meals to anyone 18 years of age and under.
  • No tickets required.
  • Students don't need to be present to pick up meals, but they are always welcome.
  • Eligible children include toddlers and preschoolers, children who don't attend APS schools, and those who normally don't qualify for free meals.

The district is able to make the changes because the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which provides funding for school meals, extended its summer meals program through Dec. 31.

"This is a great relief for families throughout our community, including those with young children and those who might not qualify for free meals but are still going through a tough time due to the pandemic," said APS Chief Operations Officer Gabriella Blakey. "We want to make sure no child goes hungry, and we are able to eliminate the burden of exchanging tickets for meals."

Locations and times are subject to change based on holidays and participation.
