School Breakfast and Lunch Programs

Breakfast and Lunch (one meal each) is free to all APS students for the 24-25 school year.  No meal applications are necessary.  Parents/guardians are still responsible for meal charges from previous year(s).

Menus are created and analyzed over a one week period to ensure they meet federal guidelines by a trained nutritionist. Meals provide:

  • Less than 30% of their calories from fat
  • 10% or less from saturated fat, which meets the standards of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
  • At breakfast one quarter, and lunch one third, of the daily calorie needs and nutrient requirements for protein, iron, calcium, vitamin A, and C.
