The mission of the FSP team is to make strategic, data-driven resource decisions to improve student outcomes.
Federally Funded Grants
Title I
Funding is used to “provide all children a significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps.” This includes funding for McKinney-Vento, a program that provides services to our unhoused and housing-insecure students.
Title II
To increase student achievement, to improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals and other school leaders; to increase the number of teachers, principals and other school leaders who positively impact and help improve student academic achievement.
Title III
The overarching purpose is to ensure that English Learner students, including immigrant children and youth, attain English language proficiency and meet the same challenging state academic standards that other students are expected to meet.
Title IV
Funds are used to support students and schools in three domains: well-rounded education, safe and healthy students and effective use of technology.
Title VII
Title VII addresses the “unique educational and culturally-related academic needs,” including language-related needs, of American Indian students.
Perkins V
To ensure students are prepared for the workforce and alignment to the job market.
Medicaid
Funds are used to “improve and expand health and health-related services provided by the schools and the community for children, youth and families as outlined in the Collaborative Plan.” In addition, Districts are encouraged to continue use of funds to support health and health-related services.
State Funded Grants

Provides paid work experience for students.
Innovation Zones
Funding to support schools in their efforts to transform the high school experience.
Next Gen
Supports educational activities that provide the foundation for successful career preparation.
Structured Literacy
The goal of the grant is to significantly increase the percentage of elementary, middle and high school students meeting the state’s language and literacy standards, especially those who are economically disadvantaged and traditionally underserved.
Community Schools
For community school and family engagement initiatives.
