Background
Albuquerque Public Schools held its first African American Summit in November 2018 to identify how to improve education and opportunities for African American students. From the summit, three working groups were formed in partnership with the community to look in more detail at three areas of concern:
- Data
- Curriculum
- Student Support
At this Summit, the three groups will provide an update on their work and initiatives. APS employees, families, students and community members will have the opportunity to come together to continue these discussions, provide input and work on improving education and opportunities for students.
