PC1 Administrative Organization of the District

The Albuquerque Public Schools is organized under a central office system of administration and support with learning zones. Learning zones are designed as focal points for support services to schools. Central office services for system-wide instructional elements, administration, finance, personnel, supply, maintenance, transportation and a community service center are organized to provide the necessary support to all schools through use of common services and facilities designed to take advantage of economies of scale.

Descriptions of employee positions will be titled by the Human Resources Department to conform with the organizational level in which the job is located. Titles for specific jobs will directly identify with authorized compensation code categories.

Alterations, amendments, deletions, or additions to functional description statements for any district organization or endeavor must be reviewed and approved by the superintendent before implementation.
