JI9 Cyberbullying Prevention - July 2024 Revision

The following board policies have been archived. Most have been replaced by the corresponding administrative procedural directive.

In compliance with state law, the superintendent, or his/her designee, shall implement administrative procedural directive(s) to prevent cyberbullying.  Prevention of cyberbullying shall include:

  • Training for all licensed school employees on how to recognize signs that a person is being cyberbullied;
  • Immediate reporting to the school principal or superintendent or his/her designee when there is reasonable suspicion that a person is being cyberbullied;
  • Immediate steps to investigate the report; and
  • Prompt corrective action in response to cyberbullying.
