IJ Instructional Resources and Materials 2013 revised

This policy was updated January 2023.

Required textbooks shall be issued free to students. The superintendent or his/her designee shall be responsible for establishing and enforcing state statute and regulations regarding textbooks.

Students shall make compensation in case of lost, destroyed or unnecessarily damaged textbooks and other instructional materials.

The Board of Education may make provisions in its annual budget for the purchase of library books and instructional materials to supplement the textbooks provided by the State of New Mexico. Videotapes, DVDs, and multi-media products shall be selected and utilized to provide support to instructional learning as established in state regulation and administrative procedural directive.
