Today We Celebrate Our Teachers

On National Teacher Day, we pay tribute to all APS teachers who do so much for our kids.

Go here to see the appreciation messages running on the APS electronic billboards for Teacher Appreciation Day.

To celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week, the APS Education Foundation is running thank you messages on the district's four electronic billboards at Cibola, Del Norte and Eldorado high schools and Wilson Stadium. The messages feature 55 Horizon Award winners, teachers who exemplify the great work that's going on in classrooms across the district.

"We can't say it enough -- thank you APS teachers for all you do. You provide the students of this community with a foundation that will help them achieve their dreams. It's one of the most important jobs in the world, and we appreciate all you do," APS Superintendent Winston Brooks said. "I still remember teachers who influenced my life and the lives of my own kids. So, to them and to all of our dedicated teachers in APS, I say once again, 'Thank you!'"
