APS Opens Survey on Budget for Next School Year
Board hosting budget community meetings on Oct. 13, 14.
Albuquerque Public Schools is seeking input on the 2027-2028 budget and has developed an online survey for the public.
The survey will close on Oct. 22. All responses are anonymous and confidential.
“Our budget defines our values, which is why your voice matters,” said Superintendent Gabriella Durán Blakey. “Whether you are a student, parent, staff member, or community partner, taking a few minutes to complete this survey will help guide our decisions for the upcoming school year.”
The survey should take only a few minutes to complete. It includes questions on everything from safety and security to student support and wellbeing.
The Board of Education will also be holding two in-person budget community meetings and is encouraging members of the public to attend and offer ideas. Those meetings will be:
- 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex, 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE. This event will be livestreamed on the board’s YouTube page and available for later viewing.
- 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Truman Middle School, 9400 Benavides Road SW.
