Circle Keepers host art showcase highlighting restorative practices and student creativity.

Students at Garfield Middle School recently shared their creativity and personal experiences during a special art showcase led by the school’s Circle Keepers.

The event brought students together with members of the University of New Mexico community to celebrate student artwork and the impact of restorative practices at the school.

Through paintings, visual displays and presentations, students highlighted their voices, experiences and perspectives. Circle Keepers also explained how restorative practices, including community circles and open dialogue, have helped strengthen relationships and create a more supportive school environment.

The showcase provided students with an opportunity to express themselves while demonstrating how art and restorative practices can build understanding, connection and a stronger school community.
