County Wants to Hear from Families Who Received School-Based Health Care Services
Officials want to ensure that individuals who received care are connected to appropriate follow-up services and resources.
Bernalillo County, in coordination with Albuquerque Public Schools, is reaching out to students and family members who received school-based primary and/or behavioral health services through mobile health units operated by Wellness Equity Alliance CA, PC between Oct. 1, 2024, and Sept. 27, 2025.
The outreach is intended to ensure that individuals who received care are connected to appropriate follow-up services and resources.
Bernalillo County has officially terminated its contract with WEA, effective Sept. 28, 2025. The contract authorized WEA to provide school-based health care services through mobile units at designated Albuquerque Public Schools and community centers when school was not in session.
The mobile units served students and families at the following locations:
- Middle schools: Truman, McKinley, Roosevelt, and Tony Hillerman
- Community centers: Westside, McKinley, Paradise Hills, and Mesa Verde
- Montgomery Park
- Erma Ferguson Library
Students and family members who received services from WEA during the contract period are asked to complete a brief questionnaire regarding the care they received. The information collected will help Bernalillo County and Albuquerque Public Schools assess services provided and identify any remaining needs so families can be directed to appropriate support.
The questionnaire can be accessed here.
