Posted October 1, 2025, 10:20 PM. Updated October 2, 2025, 1:27 PM.

Board hosting budget community meetings on Oct. 20, 27.

Albuquerque Public Schools is seeking input on the 2026-2027 budget and has developed an online survey for the public to take.

The survey will close on Oct. 12. All responses are anonymous and confidential.

“The budget process is crucial because it’s how we set our priorities for the entire school year,” said Superintendent Gabriella Blakey. “Please help us make the best decisions possible by sharing what you feel we should be prioritizing. Whether you’re a student, a family member, an APS staffer or a community member, please take the survey.”

The survey should take about five minutes to complete. It includes questions on everything from safety and security to student support and wellbeing.

The Board of Education will also be holding two in-person budget community meetings and is encouraging members of the public to attend and offer ideas. Those meetings will be:

  • 5:30-7 p.m. on Monday, Oct 20 at Berna Facio Professional Development Complex, 3115 Louisiana Blvd. NE. This event will be livestreamed on the board’s YouTube page and available for later viewing.
  • 5:30-7 p.m. on Monday, Oct 27 at Marie Hughes Elementary School, 5701 Mojave NW.
