All schools will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 18. The District continues its investigation.

APS LogoUPDATE: As of 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, all APS schools will re-open tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022.

While we are still dealing with the cyberattack that forced schools to close last week, we have found ways to work around the issues so that students can return to learning. We will be able to take attendance, contact parents in emergencies, and assure that students are picked up from school by authorized adults.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Please remember that students will need to make up the two missed days in May.

We will post cyberattack updates as they become available on aps.edu.

As of 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13,  all Albuquerque Public Schools will remain closed on Friday as the district continues to investigate a cyberattack that compromised the student information system used to take attendance, contact families in emergencies, and assure that students are picked up from school by authorized adults.

  • APS schools and offices are closed Monday, Jan. 17 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. APS plans to re-open schools on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
  • Athletics and other extracurricular activities are expected to continue as scheduled. However, meals won’t be served on days schools are closed.
  • APS administrative offices will remain open Friday, and essential school employees are also expected to report to work.
