Virtual Festival de Bellas Artes

Posted April 9, 2021, 2:05 PM. Updated November 8, 2022, 4:16 PM.

The annual tradition continues.

Festival de Bellas Artes is virtual this year!

Participating schools this year, with incredibly hard-working and dedicated students who embarked on what seemed impossible, are:

  • Washington Middle School mariachi
  • George I. Sanchez Collaborative Community School mariachi
  • Valley High School folklórico
  • Albuquerque High School folklórico and mariachi
  • Atrisco Heritage Academy folklórico and mariachi
  • Del Norte High School KPOP dance

Many thanks in particular to Sr. Jose Carrillo who put the entire video together. Not only is he the superb music teacher at Dolores Gonzales Elementary School, but also a renowned mariachi performer and clinician, and now a professional video producer. Thank you also to Dahveed Torres-Avila and the National Hispanic Cultural Center, and Ashley Griego, Administrative Assistant with APS Curriculum and Instruction.

Enjoy, and please leave lots of positive comments for each of the performing groups!
