Albuquerque Public Schools is planning outdoor high school graduation ceremonies the week of May 10. The district's 13 comprehensive high schools and eCADEMY are planning ceremonies at Nusenda Community Stadium, 1601 Arroyo Vista Boulevard NW. Other magnet high school ceremonies are scheduled for Civic Plaza in downtown Albuquerque. 

Graduates will be limited to four guests each in accordance with the public health orders. ​Each guest will be required to have an admission wristband, which will be distributed to graduating seniors by their schools.

All who attend the ceremonies, including graduates and guests, are required to wear masks. 

Those unable to attend the ceremonies will be provided with viewing options.  Ceremonies will be live-streamed and also recorded and posted to the APS Graduation 2021 webpage.

Information for accessing live-streaming and recordings of the ceremonies will be available on the APS Graduation 2021 webpage.

"We are very excited that our students will be able to participate in a face-to-face graduation, and we have put in safety precautions following the health guidelines to allow for social distancing, mask-wearing and handwashing," APS Superintendent Scott Elder stated. "After reviewing the recent information from the state regarding counties moving into 'turquoise' with the graduation committee, it has been determined that for the health and safety of our families, APS will stay with the current ticket distribution for graduates of four tickets per guest.

"We are logistically prepared to host a safe graduation with four guests per graduate in addition to live streaming for guests unable to attend. We know other institutions are unable to host graduations with any guests and are grateful that we will be able to have guests in attendance."
