Valley High Celebrates Grandparents With Heartfelt Community Breakfast
Event honors the vital role grandparents play in student success, connection and school pride.
Valley High School warmly honored its community elders with a special Grandparents Day celebration on October 21, underscoring the vital importance of family engagement in student success.
The event, which drew many community members and grandparents, was a heartfelt recognition of the supportive role these key figures play in students' educational journeys. Guests were treated to a complimentary breakfast, lively music from the school band and dedicated service from the Student Council.
This gathering reinforced the school's commitment to strong family-school partnerships. Research consistently shows that when families are engaged, students have higher academic achievement, better attendance, and improved social-emotional well-being.
The spirit of the day was perfectly captured by attendee Viola Trujillo: "I'll do anything for my grandkids as long as they do school, I just love them so much."
The successful celebration was a sweet reminder that education is a community effort, with grandparents acting as essential partners in the success of Valley High students.
