Mission Avenue STEM and Valley High School named Nationally Certified-Demonstration Schools, Early College Academy earns National Certification.

Three Albuquerque Public Schools magnet schools are being recognized nationally for excellence in magnet education.

Mission Avenue STEM Magnet Elementary School and Valley High School have earned Nationally Certified-Demonstration School status from Magnet Schools of America, while Early College Academy has been named a Nationally Certified School.

MSA's certification program recognizes schools that demonstrate excellence in magnet education through innovative curricula, efforts to eliminate barriers to student success, strong family and community partnerships and programs that bring together students from different neighborhoods and backgrounds.

The distinction is especially significant for Mission Avenue STEM and Valley High School. Certified-Demonstration Schools not only meet MSA's rigorous Standards of Excellence but also exceed these criteria, earning recognition as models that other magnet schools can learn from and replicate.

MSA launched its national certification program in 2016. With this year's cohort, 337 schools across the country have earned national certification, including 142 designated as Certified-Demonstration Schools.

Congratulations to the students, educators, families and community partners at all three APS schools for this well-deserved national recognition!
