Students Score Big with NM United Soccer Experience
Homeless and foster care students enjoy clinics, autographs and a live game thanks to local partners.
What a fantastic day for students in the McKinney-Vento and Foster Care Programs! They were treated to a special soccer experience, all thanks to the generosity of NM Oil and Gas.
As a bonus students and their guests were given tickets to watch the NM United game live in August. The excitement didn't stop there—students were able to stay for a meet and greet, and even get autographs from the players.
The fun started long before the game, with a pre-game barbecue at the McKinney-Vento Program/Foster Care site. A huge shout-out to the Chicano Dog food truck, which provided delicious hot dogs and Frito pies for everyone to enjoy.
This incredible event gave students a chance to connect with local athletes and create lasting memories. A big thank you to NM Gas, NM United and Chicano Dog for making this day possible. And a huge shout-out to the McKinney-Vento Community Partner Coordinators, staff and volunteers who helped make both of the events a success.
