Student Learning Comes to Life at Adobe Acres
The interactive "Pueblo Museum" brings history, culture, and creativity to life.
As we begin a new school year, we're celebrating one of the many meaningful learning experiences our students participated in last year. Ms. Maribel Garza's 5th-grade class transformed a classroom into an interactive "Pueblo Museum," bringing history, culture and creativity to life.
More than just a class project, this student-led experience empowered students to become researchers, creators, presenters and teachers as they welcomed classes from across the school to tour their museum. Students took ownership of their learning while sharing their knowledge and celebrating the rich history and traditions of Pueblo communities.
This project is a wonderful example of the engaging, hands-on learning experiences that take place at Adobe Acres Elementary—where students are encouraged to think critically, collaborate, and confidently share their learning with others.
