Spud-tacular Attendance Challenge

Posted October 15, 2026, 1:57 PM. Updated October 15, 2026, 1:57 PM.

Armijo Elementary utilizes Mr. Potato Head to promote perfect attendance.

This October, the hallways of Armijo Elementary are filled with some serious spud-tastic competition!

To encourage top-notch attendance, every classroom is racing to build its very own Mr. Potato Head. Here’s how the challenge works:

  • Daily Progress: For every single day a class achieves 100% attendance, they get to add a new piece—an ear, a shoe, a hat—to their classroom's Mr. Potato Head.

  • The Grand Prize: The moment a class completes their spud, they win an official Potato Party, complete with delicious potato chips!

  • A VIP Guest: To top off the celebration, the winning classes get a special visit from "Mrs. Potato Head" herself—Armijo's beloved PE coach!

It’s a fun, team-building effort that has students showing up ready to learn every single day.
