Reading is a Home Run with Club Read
APS is teaming up with Dion's and the Albuquerque Isotopes for a summer reading program.
At Albuquerque Public Schools, we believe reading opens doors, builds confidence and helps students believe in themselves. That's why Goal 1: Early Literacy is at the heart of everything we do. Reading isn't just about words—it's about perseverance, confidence and believing, "I can do hard things." That's Goal 4, building the skills, habits and mindsets students need for school and life.
To support these goals this summer, we're teaming up with Dion's and the Albuquerque Isotopes for Club Read! The Club Read program encourages students to read and rewards them for their efforts. With in-person events and grand prizes like the ceremonial first pitch at an Isotopes game, it's a win-win!
The 2026 season of Club Read is open now and runs to July 27th! Students in preschool through 5th grade may participate. Get the program rules and rewards information on Dion's webpage.
