Operation Warm and FedEx Deliver Coats and Smiles
Community partnership ensures every Hodgin Elementary student has a warm coat for the season.
Students at Hodgin Elementary Community School received a special surprise thanks to a partnership between Operation Warm and FedEx. Every student at the school was gifted a brand-new coat, just in time for the cooler fall weather.
The gesture sparked joy across the campus, with students sharing heartfelt reactions. One child smiled, saying, “I can give my mom her coat back now,” while another added, “This jacket is so warm and cozy.” A few days later, when rain arrived, students proudly wore their new coats, grateful to stay warm and dry.
The event not only provided comfort and confidence but also reflected the strong community partnerships that support Albuquerque Public Schools students and families.
Hodgin Elementary staff expressed gratitude for the generosity and care shown by Operation Warm and FedEx, noting how much the coats meant to their students and families,
